Hulstein
I just read a very inspiring and moving story about the Nazi persecution of the Jews in Holland during the war, and the courageous actions taken by one Christian family to help their Jewish neighbors! I left this message on the website which I invite you to visit. (link to story is found at the bottom of the home page: hulstein.org/moodle/)
Dear Ray,
A parishioner gave me a copy of the ‘Quiet Man’ after church last Sunday. I just finished reading it. For the time it took, I was transported back in time, and felt like I was almost there. Thank you! Your father and mother were so brave and courageous (in fact all of you were)in confronting great evil and in helping and saving some of your neighbors. I’m going to post your site on our Parish Website:.
God bless,
Fr. Bob MacDonald
Response from Ray:
Dear Fr. Macdonald,
Thank you for signing my Guest Book and your kind word there in. I started writing this story for my grandchildren only but I do feel that the Lord has blessed the original intention and I find that today this story of love to God and our neighbours is now being read all over the world. And believe me, this world today, being torn apart by hate, war and terrorism needs to hear God’s Commandment of love to one another, regardless of relegion, race or colour. I am therefore greatfull to you in helping to get this message out via your own web site. Several Christian Organisations have placed this story on their web site and a CD copy has been placed in the Jewish Holocaust Memorial Society. One of my most appriciated e-mail in response to this story came from a Muslim man from Ankara who was very blessed by this message and ended his e-mail with: ” May Allah bless you and all your Christian friends”
Thank you again and may our Lord bless you and all those that are working with you in His Name, a Name that binds us together.
Ray Hulstein.
