  1. Week-11-#22( Explain the concept of the unforgivable “sin against the Holy Spirit.) The catholic church,as well as the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox churches believe blasphamy against the Holy SPIRIT to be an unforgivable sin (i.e., Eternal sin.)According to the catholic catechism, theere are no limits to mercy of God,but anyone who deliberately refuses to accept mercy by repenting, rejects the forgiveness of sins and the salvation offered by the Holy Spirit,Such hardeness of harth can lead to final impenitence and eternal loss. However, the church further believes there is no offence, however serious, that the church cannot forgive-that no one, however wicked and guilty, may not confidently hope forgivenes, provided his repentance is honest.Catechism says Christ desires”the gate of forgiveness should always be opon to enyone who turns away from sin.”(2)The Eastern Orthodox churches essentially hold the same principles in regards to this doctrine although their understanding of the nature of “the church”may differ slightly.

  2. Week-11#19(The implication of death for human soul, particularly with regards to human intelligence and free will.) St.Thomas Aquinas undestood the SOUL to be the first,or act,of the body. However, his epistemological theory required that, since the intellectual soul is capable of kowing all material thing, and since in order to know a material thing there must be no material thing within it the soul was definitely not corporeal. Therefore, the soul had an operation separete from the body and therefore could subsist without the body.Futhermore, since the rotinal soul of human beings was subsistent and was not made up of matter and form,it could not destroyed in any natural process. The full argument for the immortality of the soul and Thomas’s elaboration of Aristotelian theory is foud in question 75 of the summa Theological.Man can turn to good only in freedom, which God has given to him of the highest sign of his image. For God has willed that man remain ‘under the control of his own decision.so that he can seek his creator spontaneously, and come freely to utter and blissful perfection through loyalty to Him.Hence man’s dignity demends that he act according to a knowing and free choise that is motivated and prompted from within, neither under blind internal inpulse nor by mere external pressure.

  3. Weeks-9&10#18(The consept of infallibility, regard to the offices of worhip, teaching and discipline.)The Pope,Bishop of Rom and Peter’s successor’is the perpetual and visible source and foundation of the unity of the bishps and the whole company of faithful.(lg 23.)The Roman pontiff, head of the collage of bishops, enjoys this infallibility in virtue of his office, when a supreme pastor and teacher of all the faithful-who confirm his brethren in faith he proclaims by a definitive act a doctrine pertaining to faith and morals….The infallibility promised to the church is also present in the body of bishops when.together with Peter’s successor, they exercise the suprime Magisterium, above all in an Ecumenical I:DS 3074.)When the church thrugh its supreme Magisterium proposes a doctrine’of belief as being divinely revealed:(DV 10#2.)and as the teaching of christ the definitions’must be adhered to the obedience of faith. This infallibility extends as far as the deposit of divine revelation itself.(CF.LG25)Romans 10:9 If uou conffess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, yuo will be saved.
